June 2018 – July 2020 – Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) - B.S.C. (Closed) – Bahrain Bapco is engaged in the oil industry including refining, distribution of petroleum products and natural gas, sales and exports of crude oil and refined products. The company owns a 267,000 barrel-a-day refinery, storage facilities for more than 14 million barrels, a marketing terminal and a marine terminal for its petroleum products.

Role: Instrument Engineer

• Worked in Plant Engineering department and responsible for handling CAPEX projects within the refinery.

• Involved in the following CAPEX projects right from the basic engineering, procurement, installation and hand over to operations team:

Replacement of obsolete analyzers in Sulphur Recovery Unit incinerators

Refinery wide replacement of gas detectors (obsolescence)

Replacement of obsolete actuators in boilers ID/ FD fan dampers

Replacement of obsolete control valves in LSFO area

• Assist maintenance and operations by providing continuous technical support.

• Documentation of all analysis and engineered changes including updates of controlled documentation.

The project scope involves detail engineering and detailed design of tank farms in the north and south areas of Jazan, located in south-west on Red Sea coast. Jazan Refinery will be a semi-conversion refinery that process 400 MBD of crude oil of either 100% Arabian Medium crude or a mixture of 50/50 AM/Arabian Heavy crudes which will be supplied from Saudi Aramco’s AH and AM crude supply systems on the Eastern province.
