Software Engineer, Freelance Remote (Dec 2019- Mar 2020) tiriDoctor Test link

Full-stack developer of a remote project to create a patient database management web application for a private practicing medical doctor Dr. Cristina Ortiz in Mexico.

●Designed and built web application from scratch using MEAN stack, actively collaborating with the client to iterate new user-friendly features and ensuring functional product that align with their vision and business needs.

●Implemented CRUD functions and a secure login and registration control with Bcrypt to provide a level of data security and built with Angular to create dynamic, user friendly and responsive single page web app with nested components

●Implemented file upload/download functionality to upload reports for each patient and created a desktop version of this project using Electron JS

DevOps Engineer, Thomson Reuters San Francisco, CA (Apr 2012 - Jul 2018)

●Oversaw a large system of more than 300 Linux servers and 40 windows servers that were either MySql or Oracle database servers.

●Developed Shell and Python scripts and reversed engineered PHP code in order to automate ability to fix existing issues which led to greater operational efficiency and reduced time delay.

●Monitored and managed financial analytics data processing cycles, identified and improved business functions by troubleshooting related but often broad technical issues i.e. "disk full", locks in Oracle database, MySql replication issues, MySql corrupt table issues, and data inconsistencies.

●Developed a documentation process that helped to identify and communicate common technical issues which helped led to greater self-sufficiency of fellow team members.

●Created new health checks in Nagios for hardware or software failures for the operations team to quickly identify production issues.

●Participated in the software release cycle by making sure code changes made to dev were safe to push to production. Developers relied on me to deploy hotfixes to production during processing downtime. For full software releases I would work together senior developers and QA engineers to deploy new software release to ensure successful release.
