Description: Travelport is one of the Top Travel Technology Company providing Travel related solutions in the sectors- Travel Agencies, Corporations, Online Solutions, Air, Car, Cruise, Hotel etc. Travelport wanted to introduce its GDSs (Global Distribution System) directly to the end users. Future Software Platform (FSP) was the solution which will enable a Travel Agent to connect to the GDS through the Travelport Universal Desktop using a normal internet connection. Travelport and Cognizant senior management had decided to execute this project on agile methodology and on a Fixed Bid Contract. The testing methodology chosen was Agile.

Travelport is developing a Ticket and Fee Management Module (one of the Next Gen PSS modules) that will provide airlines the ability to sell products and services to any customers at any time. This Module will assist in the collection and accounting of air travel purchases and ancillary fees and provide travel authorizations to the traveler through e-tickets and EMDs, or an airline configured electronic receipt. This Module will enable airlines to issue tickets and fee documents on behalf of other carriers, plus support the sale of travel related products and services beyond air such as; Ticketmaster, rail, cruise, etc. This new Next Gen system will take advantage of a new Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and set the standard for new development.

Responsibilities: Preparing Test cases, reviewing test cases, executing test cases and logging defects. Enterprise content to be displayed on the portal will be maintained in Lotus Web Content Management 6.1.5 integrated with Websphere Portal.
