Performance Curve Prediction for the Hydraulic Turbine using CFD Analysis The main objective of this project is to check performance of hydraulic turbine at various pressures at inlet. For checking performance mass flow rate and pressures at outlet and torque is predicted. By using of those predictions braking horse power, water horse power and efficiency of turbine is calculated.

Battery Thermal Management Analysis

Conjugate heat transfer analysis for the Hybrid Vehicles Battery Thermal Module was performed. The main objective of this project is flow profile analysis for stagnation zones, peak velocity zones and also high temperature zone in the coolant plate. Those observations are taken at various heat loads which applied on the solid side of battery. Also pressure drop across the tube side, temperature at outlet and mass flow across the tube is to be predicted. Thermal Analysis of Automobile Radiator

Thermal analysis of radiator has been done with Water+Ethylene Glycol [50%+50%] as a fluid. The analysis is used to detect the flow Pattern inside the radiator tubes, to get the pressure drop across the radiator, and also estimated the outlet temperature. In this analysis mass flow rate in each tube is also predicted.

Thermal Simulation of Four Cylinder IC engine Intake Manifold CFD simulation of Intake manifold has been done air as a fluid. And after the simulation estimated the outlet Temperature and mass flow rate at each port. And Flow velocity Profile at plane section of manifold.

CFD Analysis of valve.

This project analysed that velocity at outlet and pressure drop of valve at various percentage of opening of valve. Also stagnation zones and high pressure zone is to be predicted.

Post-Graduation Project

“Effect of process parameters on weld bead geometry and micro-hardness of welding AA 6082 using GTAW process”

The main objective of this project is to analyze the effect of welding process parameters such as welding current, voltage, welding speed and rate of heat input on weld bead geometry to weld AA 6082. And Microstructures of weld metal under different process parameter inputs are viewed and captured with an optical microscope coupled with an image analyzing software.

Optical microscopic analysis has been done on the weld zone to evaluate the effect of welding parameters on welding quality and also Micro-hardness values of the fusion zone, heat affected zone, and base metal are measured for the welded specimens at the cross section to understand the change in hardness of the welded zone.
