Educational Background

Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Modules: Design for Human – Systems Integration, Vehicle Drives & Dynamics, Design of Mechanical Power Transmissions, Manufacturing, Materials & Process, Energy Sources & Storage, Robotics

NEWCASTLE UNIVERSITY Newcastle upon Tyne 2018 to 2019

Achievements:

Developed and applied knowledge of trajectory generation technique to both industrial and mobile robots. Analysed sensor data applicable to robotic applications and design control algorithms for robots.

Researched and determined the parameters influencing CPAP mask design and provided a revised design with improved interface and physical design. Also reviewed the design methodology for CPAP mask development.

Designed a 2-stage gearbox feasible for an electric vehicle with certain specifications and executed tests using the Dontyne Gear Production suite software to analyse the efficiency and the failure mode of the design.

Worked under the IMechE’s Formula Student competition to design, manufacture and test a next generation carbon fibre suspension system for the formula student car.

Experienced in analysing the costing and manufacturing of all the components within the wheel package and suspension.

Demonstrated how physical, mental, cognitive and behavioural limits can be incorporated as design parameters for robust design solutions. Also learned to capture human behavioural traits to translate them into quantitate design elements which led to provide viable technical courses of action to existing systems that need to incorporate human-design considerations.

Designed a car dashboard that focused on improving a user’s driving style. Aim was to minimise the drivers mistake by focusing on improving control design and ergonomics of the dashboard.

Worked on a railway bogie simulation on MATLAB developing a way to characterise and quantify the stability of the bogie, both considering the safety of the vehicle and the comfort of the passengers. Analysed how changing the parameters of the simulation affects the stability of the bogie determining a suitable spring stiffness value that maximises stability.

Worked alongside Hardy Advanced Composites in fabricating and testing the prototype carbon fibre suspension rods for the formula student race car, and presented a detailed reporting of the testing,

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Modules: Design of Machine Elements, Engineering Mathematics, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Automotive Design, Kinematics & Dynamics of Machines, Applied Thermodynamics, FEM,

P.E.S. INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Bengaluru 2013 to 2017

Achievements:

Designed, fabricated and presented a technical report on semi-automatic pneumatic ramming machine.

Worked in a team of 20 on a GO-KART project developing a single seater GO-KART for the Indian Super Karting series 2016 and recognized as one of the top 10 best teams in the country through the virtual round of the competition.

Gained experience working in groups involving, execution of ideas, co-ordination, problem solving and time administration during academic projects.

Hands on experience working with various test rigs such as turbines and diesel/petrol engines and mechanical machines like lathe, milling, etc. developing strong mechanical workshop skills.

Earned reputation as a talented and excellent welder and machinist, developed excellent fabrication and machine shop skills completing projects and assignments on time and to specifications.

Lead a team of six to manage logistics operations during the annual cultural events that were held in the university.

Presented various presentations and seminars in the university as well as at project fairs and gained presentation and report writing skills
