ACADEMIC PROJECT

Title Mechanical Characterization of Epoxy Resin Based Natural Composites

Description

A 3mm areca and glass fiber composite is fabricated with the usage of 0.2mm thick glass fabrics and 1mm thick areca fiber and epoxy resin as binding agent.

The above composite is tested for few mechanical properties like tensile test, shear test, hardness test.

The main motto is to fabricate lightweight materials with same mechanical properties of which the glass fiber have.

The present research study was done by few mechanical properties and study can be further extended to few more properties like, macroscopic analysis study and tribological characteristics for further investigations.

Future work can be made by varying the volume fraction of reinforcement and matrix.
