I was the Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge for Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) Team 25. I worked with a Captain (Officer in Charge), two Tactical Exploitation Technicians (TETs), one Tactical Advisor Civilian (TAC), and I had 3 Explosive Ordinance Disposal Teams attached at all times. Our main goal was trying to use site analysis and exploitation of the Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) that was used in Afghanistan. I assisted with setting up a Combined Exploitation Cell at Forward Observation Base Ramrod. While in Afghanistan I attended the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Post Blast Analysis Course and the Marine Corps Combat Hunter Course. I led over 100 combat missions to include Post Blast Investigations, Improvised Exlposive Device (IED) responses, multiple Route Clearance Missions and 15 named operations throughout the Kandahar Province in Afghanistan.
