• Used three different bases with same acid to synthesis three PILs in our lab
• PILs were used as lubricant additives in a custom-designed reciprocating ball-on-flat tribometer, and friction coefficients of all the tests were got from this tribometer
• Measured wear tracks under Olympus BH-2 Optical Microscope and wear volumes were calculated
• Viscosities of PILs were also tested with viscometer in our lab
• Compared all the tribological properties of our lubricant additives with a commercial lubricant Gear Reduction System Design, RIT, 2019
• Designed the gear-reduction drive with given input speed and power, output speed, system life, and system reliability.
• Calculated all parameters of the system that we needed and outputted the drawings of the gear train system through KISSsoft.
Suspension System Simulation, RIT, 2019
• Developed a four-wheel vehicle suspension system model using Simulink in MATLAB according to the suspension system equations.
• Input parameters of a 1999 Toyota Corolla to simulate and analyze the performance of the suspension system.
3D Printing Project, RIT, 2019
• Got a 3D model of a robot’s hand from InMoov and redesigned them using Autodesk Fusion 360.
• 3D printed all parts of the robot’s hand with different 3D printers which are Formlabs SLA, Markforged FFF, and Prusa FFF.
• Assembled the parts together and manually test the performance of the robot’s hand. Two-stage Coaxial Helical Speed Reducer Design, Zhengzhou University, 2016
• Calculated and designed the transmission system, gears, axels and other parts of a speed reducer for a lifting machine according to its working environment.
