PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Presently taking tutions at home upto grade 12 (Medical/Non-medical) Institute for plasma research, DAE, Gujarat, India. Pulse Power and RFQ Development Division
Scientist (Project) 09 Apr’14 – 08 Apr’16 (2 Years) Institute for Plasma Research is an autonomous R & D organization under the authority of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India situated near west banks of river Sabarmati in Gujarat, India. This institute is largely involved in theoretical and experimental studies in plasma science including basic plasma physics, agnetically confined hot plasmas and plasma technologies for industrial application. The institute owns two operational Tokamaks (a machine for controlling thermonuclear fusion) - ADITYA and Steady State Tokamak (SST) - 1. FCIPT, ITER-India and CPP-IPR, located in Gandhinagar and Guwahati are three divisions under IPR.
My role as a Scientist in Pulse power and RFQ development division is to work on the physics design of Radio Frequency Quadrupole and Low Energy Beam Transport system for the accelerator division presents me with the challenges in the design and optimization of a RFQ cavity followed by the design of and optimization of a Low Energy Beam Transport System
(including beam dynamics for LEBT). It gives me the opportunity to gather all my theoretical and technical skills, innovative character and ability to make this machine feasible. The assignments handled includes:
Managed all phases of the physics design process for a multitude of products, components including tolerancing, prototyping and documenting results.
Design and optimization of 2-D Radio frequency Quadrupole cavity for the resonant frequency with minimum power loss.
Carry out 2-D simulations to calculate the exact location and diameter of the tuner and dipole rod in the cavity using SUPERFISH.
Analytical design and optimization of End-Cuts for field flatness and transferring magnetic field in the adjacent quadrant.
Completed the task for the selection of Vacuum pump and the interfacing components for the RFQ system including raising the indent for the procurement of vacuum pumps.
Involved in carrying-out 3-D EM simulations for the designed cavity in CST-MWS to validate the 2-D physics design obtained from Superfish.
Design and optimization for the LEBT system for beam matching at the entrance of Radio frequency quadrupole
2-D design of steering and Solenoid magnet
Design reviews at BARC, Mumbai and RRCAT, Indore CSIR-CEERI – Pilani, Rajasthan
Senior Project Fellow 19 Mar’13 to 18 Mar’14 (1 Year)
Gained diverse experience in wafer processing techniques, mainly, wafer cleaning, spin coating, dip coating,
