Abstract: The aim of our project was
to develop a fully radio controlled
probe vehicle which will be able to
go through toughest regions. The
vehicle was mounted with a 360-
degree camera to view things
happening around, a robotic arm to
collect objects and sample for
experimentation purpose and a
hydraulic system which is use to lift
the vehicle when stuck. We had an
inbuilt solar panel to power up the
battery used to run the vehicle. This
project was designed using CATIA.

Abstract : This project is about
application of a particular design
evaluation method (Boothroyd-
Dewhurst or Lucas) in support of
product development and in
particular design of assembly (DFA),
although ‘manufacturability’ will also

The aim of this project is to take an
industrial product (SIEMENS G110)
and undertake DFA product redesign
for automation with the aim of
achieving production easement and
reducing cost while maintaining or
improving quality. In addition, the
secondary aim is to draw out lessons

might be relevant to the
