Amazon Sortation Associate : Feb 2020-April 2020

Cicninnati, Ohio 40 hours per week 15.00 per hour

Duties were to receive product boxes and packages into the warehouse via scanner and to sort the boxes onto conveyor belts that led to stowing areas for boxes to be fit into. The boxes were categorized and registered for driver routes and then delivered . The physical duties include lifting boxes no more than 49 lbs throughout the shift. Practiced good manufacturing practices and great with keeping a safe working environment.

Duties included receiving products from trucks into the warehouse via scanner and then onto a conveyor built for distributing throughout the facility for sorting. Required lifting boxes up to 50lbs; in certain areas I labeled boxes according to contents, or opened boxes that contains multiple counts of the same products for sorting, then planed into small totes for processing. The system would weigh the totes and I paid close attention to weight restrictions before sending on to conveyor. Utilized a 10 key numeric data system as well as scanning. The counting and recounting of various products took patience and time to ensure accuracy of received product into the facility. I kept a very clean work space environment and helped others as needed or requested.

Proper shelving of Toyota and Lexus auto parts in labeled locations . Process included double verification for quality standards and accuracy. This was to ensure that the precise part is picked and packed when the customer was in need of replacement. Utilized power carts and scanners for identifying parts. Worked well with teammates and communicated team lifts where needed to ensure safety of self & co-workers. Maintained the integrity of company by securing all damaged or opened packages. Cleared walkways for safe transfer from chutes. Guided heavy boxes through the chute onto roller so that all boxes could be lifted safely and structured and built into walls of the Fed Ex trailer.
