*******@***.***
Dear Human Resources Representative,
I have a Bachelors in Science degree that I received from Loyola Marymount University (majored in Biology). In addition, I entered a Masters degree program as a first year medical student at Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine in Chicago, in which I took classes such as Anatomy, Neurophysiology, and Pharmacology. I continued my higher level of education and received a Masters in Public Health (with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration and Epidemiology) from AT Still University in Missouri with honors. In addition, I have been trained through internships and/or volunteer work dealing with genetic counseling screening for genetic mutational cancer linked diseases (Cancer Center of Santa Barbara [previous name], in which I received an accommodation), also keeping detailed records for training and volunteer work for the Alliance for living and dying well, as well as Independent Intractable Migraine Research.
In addition, I have experience working in the lab, lab equipment, and using proper lab protocol. I have performed genetic experiments and testing, medical drug and device testing, and statistical analysis. I have also worked with performing lab experiments that involved blood samples, saliva samples, and sequencing.
I have a lot of experience volunteering, educating, creating and keeping partnerships and alliances with several community organizations, hospitals, clinics, and physicians. I have worked with the elderly community through Partners in Care Foundation performing reassessments and monitoring their health ranging from Alzheimer’s, Dementia, to Cancer cases. I worked with the retired and elderly community through various Outreach programs and local church organizations educating them about their medical conditions, nutrition, Medicare Insurance coverage, and counseling. I tutored the young minds here in Santa Barbara in local elementary schools and through the Endowment for Youth Committee (all ages). I also have experience in counseling, holding a leadership role, setting up volunteers and researching alternative treatments and living quarters for those of all ages suffering from Muscular Dystrophy Association in Santa Barbara. In addition, I worked for several years at an OBGYN clinic where I not only handled appointment scheduling, but I was the chief officer for handling the disability and FMLA documents for expecting parents and parents who needed or chose to have additional care with their infant. I was also the back up Supervisor in charge when the Supervisor was not in the office and I was the lone individual given the responsibility of counting the co-pays and submitting them every morning to be deposited. I also volunteered during the early to mid 2000’s when Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital was open to presenting cultural diversity symposiums. I think that I have the qualifications that you are looking for.
Sincerely,
Jeanine English
