Professional History

My father founded Dennis Donut Company, a retailer and wholesaler of pastry products and I began working part time during school and full time in the summers in various areas of production. For a brief time I supervised the manufacturing operation, started a new wholesale route, performed the custodial duties, and supervised the flour manufacturing process which included warehousing. All of these functions involved working with people, time, equipment, and products. I also acquired knowledge of accounting, cost-control, profit and loss, business analysis and planning.

During the next several years I held territory sales positions in which I exceeded all personal goals; increased gross profit in total sales, received several sales achievement awards. trained new sales representatives, opened several new sales territories, and worked with transportation to obtain more profitable delivery routes. All of these tasks helped me to improve my communication to all departments, organizational and analytical skills, and presentation and demonstration abilities.

Along with the territory sales positions, I held positions as Regional Manager and Regional Sales Representative. I have both retail and food-service experience. These positions required me covering a 2-4 state area, assisting foodservice and retail distributors and selling these products direct to the end-user, foodservice and retail. I also planned and presented all of my promotions. advertising layouts, managed total overall sales to the distributors, I controlled deviated pricing, coordinated distribution, as well as sampled and presented new products to the distributor's end-users and sales force at

As District Manager with a major chemical manufacturer the resources I focused on helped me instrumentally in the start up of a complete floor care program sold to Living Centers of America of which I was responsible for 80 nursing homes in Texas. I planned, adapted, forecasted, trained, led hands-on demos. worked up presentations, and led power point presentations through computers, charts, graphs, and many other visual aids, as well as handle 3 key distributors and their sales. -

Through cost comparisons I have shown long term and assisted care facilities the benefits of group purchasing: developed a territory in Oklahoma and Kansas producing $4.3 million dollars in sales; took a territory in the health food industry and increased sales 104% of quota through effective retail marketing and sales efforts: revived a 4 state, jan. /san, maint. territory and currently exceeded one million dollars in sales in 8 months for a global chemical manufacturer for a 125% sales increase and a 35% increase in gross profit and as operations director have trained personnel in 20 facilities on how to hire quality employees, dismiss personnel properly, how to purchase products efficiently and profitably as well as train them on procedures, conducted safety and RTK training as well as trained and Supervised some 200 employees in

housekeeping,
