EXPERIENCE

FDWM Management Consulting Services 1996 – 1998

Management agreement supervising State of Michigan property management employees at 2 office towers in downtown Detroit, Michigan. Direction and coaching personnel including building manager, administrator, mechanics, electricians, plumbers, renovation and alteration, and vendor support services. Both buildings were earmarked for closing as I was hired as an outside consultant to manage the building personnel for continuation of providing necessary services to existing building clients. System Manager at U.S. Department of Health & Human Services in Woodlawn, Maryland. Contracted to provide, in accordance with GSA standards and guidelines, management of facilities operation, maintenance and repair of electromechanical equipment, renovation, alteration projects, custodial services, and landscaping. A monthly grading system used in awarding contracted services excluding vendor out of pocket expenses for labor and material. Within months of taking over the assignment, there was significant improvement in both daily operations and an increase in operation GSA scores, boosting monthly company profitability.

UNICCO Services 1998 – 2000

Contracted operations manager at Continental Airlines Area, for New Jersey Sports Authority. Under the service agreement, we managed skilled trade personnel such as HVAC engineers, electricians and plumbers. This venue supported events from the NBA, NCAA, NHL, concerts and ice shows. ABM, Grubb & Ellis, Cushman & Wakefield, CBRE 2000 – 2019 Facility manager at a financial institution data center in Somerset, New Jersey. Managed a staff of union engineers and janitorial services at this 24-7 facility. To keep up with the demand needed to manage the data center, vendor services for high voltage electrical machines and wiring, diesel generator, ups batteries, and HVAC equipment installs were contracted. To maintain the surrounding grounds and office side of the facility, additional contracts required for pest control, landscaping and elevator services. Oversight was also needed during administered renovation, alteration and construction projects. Administrative work such as managed expenses and operating budgets, payroll and training programs were required to be done on a timely basis. I served as the point of contact for federal and state regulatory agencies. Performed a similar role as facility manager at the client back-up data center, Teaneck NJ before the loss of the NYC data center due to the 9/11 attacks. Assisted in the relocation start-up of current enterprise DC currently in use in Somerset, NJ. EDUCATION
