ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Worked with clients to solve subsea hose failures by fast-tracking design and implementing solution within the client’s time frame saving company $1.0M in damages due to equipment downtime.

Designed and patented a hydraulic hose intervention clamping system for the Deep-Water Horizon well blowout. Directed the team through development and testing to final intervention in a seven day fast tracked project resulting in sales of $1.4M.

Designed and patented BOP (Blow Out Preventor) subsea hose and fittings used on 80% of all BOPs (Blow Out Preventor) throughout the world resulting in sales exceeding $5.0M annually.

Designed and patented high collapse resistance (HCR) subsea hose and fitting used in 11,000-foot water depths resulting in annual sales of $500,000.

Created ThreadMate™ paste for stainless steel threaded connectors to improve both thread anti-galling and thread sealing resulting in annual sales of $50,000.

Lead cross function team in the development of rapid response hydraulic hose for direct control hydraulic BOP (Blow Out Preventor) umbilicals, decreasing hydraulic response time from minutes to seconds resulting in $5.0M sales annually. Patented.

Designed manufacturing equipment to reduce cost, to improve safety, and eliminate injuries.

oAutomated hose skiving machine to replace hand tools and sharp knives decreasing process time from 20 seconds to 5 seconds and eliminated repetitive hand injuries. Annual savings $25,000.

oHose measuring, cutting, and coiling, all-in-one machine; measures, cuts, and coils hose assembly decreasing time from 4.5 minutes to 1 minute resulting in $50,000 savings annually.

oDesigned equipment for large bore manufacturing line decreasing manpower from six persons to two. Decreasing process cycle time and significantly decreasing the risk of injury and incidents.
