A Results-oriented professional seeking a position of Drilling Fluid Engineer who has been in the industry for twenty two years. My extensive experience is working on jack-ups, semi-subs and drill ships, primarily in Denmark but in a period rented out to jobs in Norway, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Vietnam. Highly skilled with several water- and oil-based mud systems on shallow water jobs as well as HTHP- and deep-sea well jobs. I have worked with a wide selection of completion fluids, both in new wells and as part of refurbishing old wells. QHSE has always been a big part of my professional life where I have been member of the company LPT and safety rep. on rigs.

Inspect job site, rig and equipment, and drilling activities to verify safety and to ensure that desired fluid specifications are maintained. Train rig crew and junior engineers in mixing methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.

Read and understand fluid specifications and requirements, well and drilling programs, plan and organize procedures. Create procedures, then review and up- date as required.

Discuss plans and procedures with customer and company personnel, other relevant service companies and crew to resolve problems and to coordinate activities. Provide pre-job safety meetings with all personnel involved so everybody understands their roles and responsibilities.

Provide onsite testing, measuring and analysis of fluids, and supervise fluid preparation and pumping. Ability to identify potential problems and propose solutions and provide improvements to increase operational efficiency. Provide detailed fluid analysis, daily reports and well recap reports. Manage logistics and maintain inventory.
