PROJECTS

Design of FIR Lowpass Filters

Developed a C program to implement a 16-point FIR lowpass filter with the cutoff frequency of 0.2π using rectangular, Hamming and Blackman windows.

Computed and plotted the magnitude and phase response of each filter

Speech signal analysis

Sampled a stationary vowel sound at 8000 Hz, plotted the auto-correlation sequence, frequency spectrum & pole-zero pattern. Derived the pitch period, formants & poles from the plots using MATLAB.

Implemented an LPC analysis filter, deduced the coefficients and the variance of the prediction error for every 30 ms frame for a speech input. Plotted, listened and analyzed output residual error sequence using MATLAB

Surveillance Robot using MYO Sensor

Designed a Robot using Arduino UNO Microcontroller.

Developed software for the microcontroller to move the Robot in forward, reverse, right and left directions based on control input received from Hand Gesture Sensor (MYO) over Bluetooth.

Embedded System Design

Designed a simple Embedded System with a CPU, 512 KB RAM, 256 KB EPROM, 2 CCD Camera Controllers & one serial I/O.

Implemented & verified the design using both Verilog and VHDL in Quartus II Software.

Vending Machine Using FSM

Designed a Finite State Machine for Vending Machine functionality, implemented the state machine using a VHDL program and tested the design in Intel® Cyclone® 10 GX FPGA Device.

Design of Multiplexer

Designed a multiplexer using CMOS and transmission gates in LTspice software by writing a Spice netlist.

Verified its circuit functionality and studied the power dissipation properties using timing diagrams obtained from the circuit simulations.

Design of 129 Stage Ring Oscillators

Modelled and simulated a 129 stage Ring Oscillator circuit in LTspice software by writing a Spice netlist.

Evaluated the minimum average delay for IBM 0.25 technology using Signal waveforms generated from Spice Simulation.
