Chemical Engineering Design Project - Production of HDPE and Ethylene Glycol from Naphtha (2019)
●Advised and directed a small team of 5 to design a process for the production of 100,000 t/y of HDPE from Naphtha. As the elected leader of the group, I was able to create a strategic project plan for each member to improve efficiency and productivity
●Deliverables included detailed flow sheets, HAZOP/HAZID studies, technology appraisal and improvements to the process that improved efficiency
Designed a Fixed Bed Reactor for the Hydrodesulfurization of Naphtha. The project comprised of a chemical and mechanical engineering design
●Minimised capital cost of the process by approximately £150M, using efficient process intensification methods
