EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:

Completed Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Selvam College of technology Namakkal, Under Anna University Coimbatore in 2013 (secured 73.80 %)

CURRENT EXPERIENCE:

Currently working as Process Engineer in CATERPILLAR INDIA PRIVATE LTD, Thiruvallur from Nov’16 to till date.(Deployed at CADD CENTER SERVICE PVT LTD,Chennai).

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assembly Process : Process Design

To assign and review duties and work activities to meet process quality and goals,

Develop the assembly process sequence from sub assembly to main assembly,

Project coordination, Project documents preparation and Process validation for Pilot build,

Create the SWES,SOP, PFD, PFMEA, Control plan, SFMEA,In process validation check sheet and Torque audit sheet for Existing and New Products,

Conduct the manufacturing process audit for each model and issues are addressed,

Conducting manufacturing process validation related to assembly, sequence, tooling’s, and design,

Torque tool validation of each joints accessibility and introduce special type tools for inaccessible joints,

Drive manufacturing readiness for product lunch and transform to production,

Ensuring PMD availability for all the work station and preparing Torque tool list.

Assembly Process : Process Improvement

To review and close the safety PCR’s as raised by production, and minimize the risk rating of assembly

Design and develop the new lifting tools fixtures for avoiding product damage and manual lifting,

Introduced new equipments for critical assembly and reduce the operator ergonomics and fatigue,

Ensuring SFMEA score as Low risk rating in assembly process,

Preparing Tool master list for all Lifting device and fixtures for easy identification,

Tacking corrective actions for assembly issues (ICA and PCA).

ACHIVEMENTS:

Worked as a team member in asset restructuring project to reduce the flow distance of truck and covered space area and streamline the process flow.

Virtually validate the product engineering changes made through team centre software to eliminate trail fitment activity for new product development

Achieved 95% of PCR closer rate in all safety problems

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

Worked as a Quality Engineer in IM GEARS INDIA PVT LTD in chennai from Aug’13 to Oct’16, IM Gears is a leading Manufacturing company of Engine Transmission Gears & Shafts as Domestic and Export Customers like Renault Nissans, HMIL, TVS-Motors, BorgWarner, NTN & NEXTEER Automotive.

CUSTOMER QUALITY:

Validating Product and process layout inspection as per the plan of in-house parts.

Preparation of Work Instruction & Inspection standards for inline process.

Preparing Feasibility study for new products and reporting to the customer.

Handling NPD parts and getting approval of APQP & PPAP documents.

Part approval through appropriate documents such as PPAP and product Inspection Report.

Validation reports as per customer’s plan & PSW Sign Off for new parts.

Following QMS-ISO/TS16949:2009 activities within the organization.

Conducting MSA, SPC Studies to improve the capability of the process.

Taking CAP for In-house rejection, inline process issues and submitting reports,

Planning, scheduling, and carry out internal auditing and Closing NCR’s.

Getting approval for 4M changes through change management.

AS CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVE:

Handling customer complaints, taking corrective actions for the customer end issues through Why-Why Analysis & QC tools.

Submitting corrective action such as CAPA, Counter Measure report, 8D reports and monitoring the effectiveness of the corrective action.

Updating related documents to customer complaints such as Control Plan & PFMEA and maintaining revision history

ACHIEVEMENT:

QCC- participated external and internal -Quality improvement topics,

Achieved Zero PPM level from customers successively for one year under my supervision as Engineer Quality Assurance.

Implemented Innovative Poke yokes and LCA, Coolant flow Management -project in the Company as the member of CFT.
