The Director of Facility and Fleet Maintenance is responsible for implementing Sysco's corporate maintenance programs within a given Market or geographic region including:
Maintenance of Sysco's portfolio of industrial and commercial properties located across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and Europe. This includes building structures, building systems and utilities, and site improvements.
Maintenance of Sysco's automated material handling systems used in distribution operations including automatic storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS} and mobile robot-based handling systems.
Maintenance of Sysco's fleet of rolling material handling equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, motorized pallet jacks, order pickers, loaders, and utility equipment.
Maintenance of Sysco's fleet of over-the road vehicles including tractors, refrigerated trailers, refrigerated trucks, refrigerated vans, automobiles, and utility vehicles.
Dotted line leadership of a team of Fleet Managers and Facility Managers at operating companies and specialty companies within a given Market or geography. Each Director will be responsible for the activities of approximately 30 such Managers as they relate to corporate wide maintenance programs, tools, and reporting. Solid line leadership responsibility for the Fleet Manager and Facility Manager at each operating company or specialty company
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage multiple vendor relationships to ensure Sysco's maintenance program goals are met consistently. Encourage wide exposure and aggressive competition for Sysco's business.
Within the assigned Market or geographic region, implement and roll out the new computerized maintenance management system or systems (CMMS) for facility and fleet. This system will be used to track assets, parts, and tools. It will also be used to manage planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, manage maintenance labor resources, and procure maintenance parts and consumables. It will integrate effectively with several other Sysco applications and will provide robust analytical tools and reporting of financial and technical information.
Play a leadership role in the capital planning process including the multi-year Facility Capital Budget. Review and approve CIP requests for maintenance projects and obligations. Provide input to senior leadership regarding the condition of Sysco's physical assets and maintenance programs.

Purpose of this position is to provide quality customer service & manage multiple client fleet maintenance programs, while working for one the nation’s largest fleet maintenance service providers throughout the US.
Responsibilities & duties include: Manage a multiple location, 600+ employee staff, maintenance program servicing the world’s largest well service companies, Schlumberger & Halliburton. Previous accounts responsible for managing were AT&T, Pepsi Bottling Group, & Brinks during my career at AFS.
Additional responsibilities include: Providing technical & operations support to AFS Sales Executive Team as well as site evaluations and operations implementations.

Reporting to the CEO, this position was to set up & direct an international division by establishing strong supplier and client relations enabling the successful implementation of International contracts awarded to Kelley Global Fleet Services.
Responsibilities & duties include: Implementation & general management of an entire fleet maintenance service company in South Africa for multiple clients & multiple locations – ABI Coca Cola & South African Breweries Miller; 4000+ vehicles, 42 locations, 51 service vehicles and 150 employees on the South Africa operation.
Collaborate with legal team to ensure regulatory compliance on all International laws pertaining to taxes, employment, safety, insurance, VISA’s etc.
Negotiate & direct national account supplier contracts, as well as, workshop accreditation warranty / service programs throughout South Africa with Mercedes Benz, UD Nissan, Toyota Forklift, Linde Forklift, Bandag Tyre and several others.
Acquisition and design of 31 mobile service units & 20 light service support vehicles for Kelley Global’ s South African operation.
Full implementation of 42 workshops in South Africa to include painting, tooling & equipment.
Plan, write and implement the safety, health, environmental, & quality programs to include company SOP’s for Kelley Global’ s South African operation.
Oversee the implementation of an asset management software system (Enrich) ensuring accurate vehicle history, inventory & costs for our clients.
Direct a team of 22 regional fleet managers, 2 administrators, Finance Director & recruiting staff.

Prior to AT&T account, position was to manage all aspects of the company fleet service program for 3100+ vehicles throughout the Pacific Northwest for several clients, including Pepsi Bottling Group, Costco, Quest Communications, FedEx Freight & Cox Communications.
Responsibilities & duties include: Multiple location & client management by establishing, implementing, and managing the company quality, safety & DOT / EPA compliance programs.
Analyze data & reports to determine the strategic direction of the client’s fleet.
Liaison with fleet leasing companies to ensure service level agreements.
