Responsibilities included Foremanship of small crews for each shift and for the training of new employees. Responsible for conducting plant inspections during shutdown status. Lab experience responsible for batch calculation end point and analytical using Hewlett Packard Gas Chromatograph with Integrator and sample each batch produced for retain. Responsible for maintaining and operating boiler (Cleaver Brook and York Shiley) that requires a Certified State of Arkansas Boiler License. Working knowledge of batch related chemical processes in production environment using 500-4000-gallon jacketed reactors with overhead condenser and agitator. Responsible for training new employees. Knowledge of processes include: distillations, fractional distillations, bromination, chlorination, oxidations, reactions, phase separations, temperature control, acid additions involving rates, nitration's, benzene trained, scrubber and absorber system operation, chemical transfers involving pressure nitrogen and pumping, vacuum system, boiler system, hot oil unit.
