Assist in Counselling of HIV infected or affected clients at URC supported sites and outreach activities to include counselling and testing, adherence counselling and psychosocial support counselling
Providing counselling supervision, mentorship and on the job training for all the clinical and counselling staff at URC supported health facilities
Ensuring that the optimal standard of counselling is achieved by establishing and maintaining the use of nationally approved counselling guidelines and protocols and with the help of the Clinical Adviser, updating your knowledge of HIV/AIDS Counselling practices
Together with the Clinical Adviser (CA) identify, assess and implement HIV counselling and follow up services at selected health facilities in Enugu State and beyond
To ensure the quality of counselling services at all URC supported facilities and activities. This will be done through the implementation of quality assurance systems to include counselor support supervision, counselor self assessment, development of site assessment checklists, regular support mentorship visits, data collection systems support, quality control in conjunction with the laboratory adviser and development of strong cadre of counselors at URC supported sites
