Arab Student Association – Portland State University
Social and financial Leader – responsibilities include: orienting new PSU students to student life on campus (i.e., buying books, registering for classes, touring buildings) and life off campus (i.e., opening a bank account, renting an apartment, and personal information security). Planning and executing on campus cultural activities. Working together with other team leaders to ensure a smooth experience for PSU’s Arab community. In addition, I was event planning for the year 2018& 2019.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Refugees’ day 2018 & 2019:
Volunteer for guest services including introducing all international guests to applicable services and vendors.
Volunteer at Hands on Greater Portland. Portland, OR 2016
The service includes managing and participating in the process of serving free meals for the homeless people in the city.
Volunteer at Oregon Food Bank: Portland, OR 2017
Worked with other volunteers to sort food and prepare boxes for families in need. It started as a project for a class but it was soon a project I was excited about.
