• Using core and RFT data, integrate reservoir performance and well tests with geoscience data to determine reservoir layering and continuity. Reconcile measured data with a known depositional environment.

• Understand and be able to apply statistical methods or reserve estimation using probability using appropriate ranges of uncertainty and probability estimates.

• Be familiar with specialized simulation techniques (such as matrix solution methods, numerical analysis, vectorization, finite element/difference analysis, and parallel processing). Determine areas of the reservoir that are unswept or inefficiently drained and identify new well locations with geological input. Know and be able to use a company or commercial simulation software to characterize the reservoir, history match, and predict future performance.

• Can quantify reservoir engineering uncertainties in the context of other uncertainties using appropriate ranges of uncertainty and appropriate decision and risk analysis techniques.

• Develop near- and long-term production and reserve targets for reservoirs. Actively follow reservoir performance and provide solutions to shortcomings from targets.

• Collaborating with the development of an integrated optimization methodology for the Quifa Oil field to increase the NPV by well according to the current oil price scenarios.

• Water conformance analysis to evaluate the gels, RPM’s, and polymer performance to isolate water zones in producer wells. The pilot was executed and all those technologies were tested. Finally, with the positive results using gels and RPM's, a Workover campaign comprised of more than 40 wells was planned (130 KBOLS as an incremental expected reserves per well).

• Develop a forecasting scenario manager methodology for Quifa and Rubiales Oil Field.

• Active participation in the reservoir area, to achieve a maximum oil pick rate of 230 KBOPD for Rubiales Field and 60 KBOPD for Quifa SW, approximately. LANGUAGES
