I’m passionate about building business and personal relationships through solving complex technical and business problems. My entire twenty-five plus year career has been focused on using the tools at hand to help customers achieve their goals. Founded the first certified Gongkwon Yusul academy in the United States owned by a non-Korean instructor. Taught students of all ages from 3 years old to adult. Active in service to local community and schools.
Key Achievements
Assisted US director of Gongkwon Yusul with curriculum development, instructor training, and preparation of print and digital training materials.
Built school from the ground up to achieve profitability in 25% less time than the national average.
Over 30% of students who signed up ended up referring at least 1 friend.

Systems Application Engineer
Responsible for all technical aspects of avionic displays, custom systems, and rugged computer sales and proposal efforts. Helped transition projects from sales to engineering and ultimately production and service. In charge of all US avionics and military demo inventory.
Key Achievements
Worked with customer to reconfigure and requalify system with new components after competitor’s solution failed miserably during government first article testing.
Helped design and perform boundary, functional, and acceptance testing for system level software and hardware in custom or highly modified products.
Assigned to programs that ended up winning supplier of the year awards from Boeing, Textron, Lockheed-Martin, and Raytheon.
Helped customer recover from a major system crash by performing board and component level repair on prototype equipment in their booth during an industry tradeshow.

Sales Support Engineer, Consoles and Rugged Computers
Worked for the product managers of console and rugged computing to assist sales and marketing efforts in US military market. Gathered requirements, suggested product and configuration, and answered any technical questions in the sales process. Supported sales, marketing, and tradeshow efforts with procurement and setup of demo assets.
Key Achievements
Specifically requested by service managers to lead new product testing for production and service groups for new product lines and major updates.
Found a startup script configuration error that had been causing problems on a piece of equipment connected to the customer’s system that had been missed for over 3 years during first article inspection and qualification of our product.
Helped transition design and production of 2 major product lines from Toulouse, France to Duluth, Georgia for US military contracts.
2001-2004
Field Service Engineer
Board and component level repair of graphics cards, graphics engines, and video processing/distribution products for US military market. Built and maintained test systems and jigs for entire department. Traveled to install, repair, and maintain products and systems at customer sites worldwide.
Key Achievements
Set and maintained the record for most revenue generated in a single month.
Several customers in the US military and large defense contractors would put wording in to troubleshooting tickets and RMAs to request me by name and employee number.
Was promoted into sales and marketing role as a result of a customer request that I install and set up their system and be present for all system qualification testing.

Field Service Engineer
Supported, repaired, and maintained a network of over 2,000 uninterruptable power supplies for a major contract in the telecom market. Traveled throughout the region and country to support other teams for large installations or natural disasters.
Key Achievements
Achieved 5-nines uptime throughout my employment.
Took over an installation project that was running 1 month behind schedule. We ended up completing the project 2 weeks ahead of schedule resulting in the company earning a bonus payment.
Chosen to field test and install new product line for major account.
United States Army
1993-1999
Firefinder Radar Repairman
Maintained, repaired, and deployed ground surveillance and target acquisition radars in support of mission objectives. Trained radar crew in deployment, maintenance, and tactics related to radar, anti-intrusion, and surveillance systems.
Key Achievements
Developed the Garrison Standard Operating Procedure (GARSOP) for a company sized, forward deployed, unit.
Placed in charge of maintenance and repair of all counter-battery radar assets for a division sized unit forward deployed against a hostile enemy under ceasefire conditions.
Assigned to attend several diplomatic functions for foreign militaries in their home countries.

Black Belt and certified instructor in Gongkwon Yusul under Master Jae Gu Kim and studying Brazilian Jujitsu under Paul Creighton.
Play guitar as well as design and build custom guitars, tube amplifiers, and guitar effects.

Held personal secret clearance for over 15 years and should have no issues to reacquire.
