PROFESSIONAL SYNOPSIS
Mechanical Engineer profession with 22 years of experience in Steel melt shop with plant maintenance, Erection and commissioning, Maintenance and spares planning, asset management, financial maintenance budget preparation and inventory control
Involved in erection and commissioning of Mechanical Equipment’s of STEEL MELT SHOP.
Maintenance of STEEL MELT SHOP and UTILITIES EQUIPMENTS- EAF, LF, DEGASSER, BOF, CCM, MATERIAL HANDLING SYSTEMS, DEDUSTING SYSTEMS, MOBILE EQUIPMENTS, WTP, COMPRESSORS & HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS.
Effectively handling of major turnarounds and minor shutdowns.
Hands on experience in SAP PM and MM modules, ORACLE AND MATMAN # ERP systems.
Equipment failure analysis using FMEA and RCA methods, Risk management, Asset utilization and OEE.
Deep knowledge of Mechanical spares, consumables, tools & tackles.
Internal auditor for ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001 systems.

Since Apr’ 1998 till Jun’ 2011 with M/s. Jindal Vijayanagar Steel Ltd. (JSW Group) as Junior Manager.
Since Jul’ 2011 till Jun’ 2019 with M/s. SOLB Steel Company – Saudi Arabia as Senior Engineer maintenance.
Since Jul’ 2019 till Aug’ 2020 with M/s. United Steel Company – Kuwait as Chief Engineer planning and reliability.
Key Tasks Handled
Project planning, Erection & Commissioning.
o Managing overall operations for executing projects related to erection and commissioning of melt shop equipment’s.
o Coordinating material / spare parts planning related activities encompassing identification of vendors, requirement specification & offer evaluation for project material. o Performing material/spares inspection of projects as per BOQ-Drawings. o Monitoring project progress with respect to plan and reporting to Project manager, o Involved in cold and hot trails of Steel making equipment’s. o Conducting toolbox meetings with subcontractors for safe equipment erection.
Maintenance Management.
o Working knowledge of operation, maintenance, troubleshooting of Steel making equipment’s.
o Managing breakdown and preventive maintenance activities of Steel making and Utility equipment’s.
o Ensuring that all preventive maintenance activities are carried out as per the approved annual PM program
o Analyzing repeated breakdowns/failure which affects plant operation in terms of capacity, quality, and cost using Root cause analysis (RCA) or Failure mode affect analysis (FMEA). Finding corrective actions to stop re occurrence with maintenance section. o Reviewing Major breakdowns with team to prepare the detail scope of work for repair, including spares, resources and cost for the repairs o Proper utilization of condition monitoring methodologies to stop inborn reliability issues.
Maintenance planning and spares planning through SAP. o Preparing Preventive maintenance job plans and data upload to the ERP asset management / maintenance planning system.
o Establishing / updating a preventive maintenance program for ensuring reliability and efficiency of all key equipment’s.
o Planning of preventive, shut down maintenance and Update breakdowns to ensure all jobs are documented through SAP work orders.
o Scheduling weekly, major and annual shutdown plans and arranging required resources for successful completion. Gathering required feedback from engineers after job execution and record in SAP-PM.
o Developing purchase specifications for purchasing spares, consumables, tools and tackles and generating SAP PR’s.
o Technically reviewing received quotations to put up technical recommendations o Material Data cleansing and data enrichment for efficient purchasing process. o Ensuring minimum stock of essential and critical spares is available o Performing material inspection for incoming spares and materials.
Budget and Inventory control.
o Preparation and continuous monitoring of maintenance annual CAPEX and OPEX budget. o Involved in awarding long term contracts for supply of spares and consumables. o Identifying and assessing maintenance requirements and compiling requirements of external agencies to make long term maintenance contracts. o Inventory Control by reviewing the strategies on stock decisions, movement monitoring, lead-time controlling, categorizing, prioritizing, interchangeability, surplus/obsolesce handling,
o Introduced minimum- maximum system for consumables inventory o Using cost analysis to replace or refurbish and procure or in house manufacturing of spares.
IMS and Reports.
o Leading IMS internal auditor preparing departmental documents and auditing other departments for IMS compliance. Keeping a close follow up on all internal and external audit reports for observations or Non conformity, sending timely feedbacks on action plan and implementation to department.
o Responsible for Internal & annual External audits of IMS & UK CARES certification pertaining to Maintenance department.
o Prepared Maintenance Department Policy & procedures. o Preparation of Maintenance department monthly report for top management. o Preparation and continuous monitoring of maintenance department KPI's for OEE and cost.
o Compliance report on Weekly, major and annual shutdowns.
Man Management
