To supervise the cleaning, maintenance and aesthetic value of guest rooms under control with a view to Make these saleable to guest satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Housekeeper managing the staff company goal and objectives.
To check the duties of the staff allocated by the supervisor
To ensure the upkeep of all guestrooms and public area and to check all the register maintained.
To plan in consolation with the asst. chief engineer in engineering department, major repair in the room and in public area as required and to ensure the completion of such repair on time.
To ensure adequate maintenance of the VIPS rooms and suite, about the condition of these rooms.
To take daily inspection round with executive housekeeper and prepare notes of his/her observation for discussion in the supervisor’s room boys and housemen’s meetings.
To plan out the training seclude of the staff and supervisors.
To inspect the guest and cleaning supplies store according to laid down specifications.
To prepare the annual budget with executive housekeeper.
To do the conformation of the employee trained under supervisors.
To plan and implement the cost cutting procedure.
To check the housekeeping store on weekly basis with complete record and ensuring that adequate supplies are available at all time.
To talk with vendor regarding machinery, chemical and housekeeping tools.
To periodic performance reviews of the staff.
Maintain a regular deep cleaning program, monthly planner consisting of a project a day.
Assists in controlling expenses by the housekeeping department.
Review outside laundry facility servicing to ensure quality, undamaged linens and consistent delivery, keeping in mind the budgetary guidelines.
Attends periodic staff meetings with other department heads to discuss company policies and patrons’ complaints, and to make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.
Orient and familiarize new personnel with hotel facilities and operating hours.
Rewards employees who use their empowerment to meet or exceed guest expectations.
Attend to any guest complaints and take service and other outsource services.
