DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

IN FABRICATION:

• Carry out stage-wise inspection as per approved ITP

• Implementing & monitoring of all work activities as per approved quality control procedures.

• Carry out material inspection and ensuring dimensional stability, material spec, heat number, mechanical properties with approve IFC drawing and material test certificate

• Checking the bill of material and cutting plans for raw material as per fabrication drawing

• Approval of the welding process based on particular job and WPS IN SITE

• Study and understand the project scope and specification QAP as well as ITP’s and method of statements

• Ensure approve ITP, WPS/PQR and other test procedure to be followed strictly and to make sure latest reason available to the appropriate personnel

• Carry out the various kinds of inspection e.g. dimensional inspection straightness, levelness, plumbness, roundness inspection and peaking, banding inspection for pipe

• Checking the welding parameters followed in line with approved WPS during production weld.

• Effective coordination and witness of NDT (UT, MPI, PT which ever applicable) before PWHT and after PWHT if required

• Test package check sheet preparation and clearance

• Review welder performance frequently and conducting training program to improve the quality and to increase the production rate. MATHAN K- Resume Page 3 of 3

• Co-ordinate with welder, foreman, site supervisor and welding engineer to ensure job completed on time

• Rising NCRs in case of any non-compliance

• All the result of the inspection and tests are reported on a daily basis and the reports are reviewed and approve to the applicable code and to the customer specification .Any deviation quality records shall be complied in a test pack are called quality control test pack and submitted for final approval along with as build-drawing

• Ensure tagging / marking as per project specification and to check the integrity of packing are as per client requirement before shipping the product to client location/ destination

• Review of mill certificate and another test report

• Reviewing the test reports and other documents are in accordance with codes and standard
