FREIGHT PAY ANALYST, Kannapolis, NC. 2014-2019

Accountable for the NA Transportation freight pay function. Responible for developing and strategizing the ongoing management of the NA Transportation shared freight budget, financial forecast which identify, quantify, and influence critical operating initiatives and drives value within the integrated supply chain. This includes a 5% to 10% year to year cost savings initiatives while also contributing towards the effective management of over $300M NA Transportation spend and the process of over 9 million invoices for over 350 contracted carriers (all modes of transportation); Less Truck Load ( LTL), Full Truck Load (FTL), Parcel, Intermodal, International - Air Ocean and International frieght carriers.

Initiated and lead numerous freight projects which resulted in on-boarding new lower cost carriers and the implementation of Electronic Data Interchange [1](EDI) to reduce processing cost, expedited and shorten payment terms and real-time updates which resulted in implementing 92% of contracted carrier base and annually cost savings over $3M.

Effectively communicated and collaborated with the Transportation team, Finance, Accounting, Upper management teams to review and measure the freight accruals, freight budget and annual transportation spend alignment and compliances. This included reviewing the alignment of key performance indicators (KPI's)l and business goals.

Additionally, prepared daily/weekly/monthly financial reports as required to review with finance, sourcing, operations, and management teams[2]. This data identified the need to review contracua lane rates and non compliances for potential cost savings, bid negotiations and productivity projects.

CHIQUITA BRANDS INTERNATIONAL

Chiquita Brands is a Swiss producer and distributor of bananas and other produce.

TRANSPORTATION PLANNER, Charlotte, NC. 2012-2014

Assure seamless execution of planning, dispatching and routing both inbound and outbound produce shipments; banana, pineapple, salad, and commercial cargo daily utilizing Transportation Management System (TMS) to optimize Chiquita day to day operations and assure cost effectiveness and timely movement of goods.

Manage carrier relationships to ensure loads are delivered in accordance to customer requirements and contractual agreements. Additionally, monitored carrier performance and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to ensure KPI’s and company guidelines are met as requested.
