DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving the patients courteously.

Asses the patient and collect relevant data and information.

Plan the care to be provided by making use of available resources.

Implement Care that has been organized in an effective way.

Monitoring fluid- electrolyte balance – intravenous canalization, administering intravenous fluids, monitoring and maintaining adequate record of intake and output sending blood samples for investigation and evaluating the lab-values.

Monitoring blood glucose values with use of glucometer.

Administering drugs by implementing five rights. Administering drugs and fluids via infusion pumps.

Doing administration, discharge and transfer of patient.

Meeting nutritional and elimination needs.

Interesting nasogastric tube.

Giving nasogastric feed.
