Research Experience
Skidmore College, Chemistry Department 2017- 2020; Summer 2017, 2018
Part of Dr. Kelly Sheppard’s NSF funded biochemistry research project. Studied the nature of tRNA aminoacylation and the various enzymes involved in the procedure, more specifically why the amino acid asparagine has two pathways of being aminoacylated to its cognate tRNA in the causative agent for anthrax Bacillus anthracis. As a senior I was put in a position of mentorship to younger or new
member of the research lab.
