I am originally from Massachusetts, and was educated in the public school system in the Boston suburb of Concord, Mass. I attended Wheaton College in Norton, Mass.
Through the 1980s and 1990s, I moved several times a year due to my husbands Navy career. During this time, I worked in offices, retail stores, and public libraries.
I have worked as a full-time bank teller and library assistant while living in Charleston, South Carolina. Through banking, I am familiar with all aspects of cash handling; banking procedures; balancing cash drawers; ordering and receiving supplies, phone systems; receptionist duties; correct use of monetary instruments such as cashiers checks, money orders and Travellers checks; answering customer questions and general customer service issues; opening and closing procedures for a business.
While working in the public library system, I have learned more about managing customer issues and solving problems, and have worked with forms of Word and Excel.
