Project : Expo Operation Center – Expo 2020

: Expo 2020 – Infrastructure works

Project Description: Expo Operations Centre (EOC) building + External Work will serve as the central hub of operations for the Expo 2020 event. The building will be occupied by all Expo 2020 internal departments, Dubai Police, technology operations centre (Critical data centre) and other relevant authorities along with stakeholders required for the operation of the event and emergency response.

Infrastructure Works: Supply,installation, testing, commissioning & energization of 11KV distribution substations, 11KV distribution networks and cable laying works along Fiber optic cable laying works, LV networks feeding to traffic signals and street lighting works. Chillers used in this project are 14 No’s 11kV Mitsubishi single compressor centrifugal water cooled chillers with the cooling capacity of 2,300 TR each and including Water treatment TSE RO & UF water plant (18,000 Cu. m/day), building MEP services and external 41 ETS rooms, SCADA Industrial automation is used to control and monitor both the plants equipment and field instruments as well PLC’s in 41 ETS rooms through the dedicated fiber optic network, project MEP budget cost of QR 242 Million.

Responsibilities: My role as a member of M-Engineering Inc, Supervision Team of this project,

I lead the team of Inspectors for the supervision of Electrical & Control system installation works including ...

review of shop drawings, builders work plans, materials submittal, method statements, As Built drawings, and O & M manuals in compliance with project specifications, contract documents (FIDIC & Client specific requirements), drawings, project quality management, codes, and standards.

Review of Contractor weekly & monthly progress reports,
