Answer multiple phone lines and emails from clients and provide the information they requested. Met with clients and assisted them with guest room reservations, planning meetings, audiovisual equipment and banquets. Enter the information into the computer and distributed it to the appropriate departments so the staff would be prepared for the guest's arrival.
I was responsible for the catering office schedule and payroll. Ordered office supplies and vendor services, processed purchase orders for payment. I processed the incoming mail and distributed it to the appropriate departments. Logged the accounts receivable checks and sent them to the bank for deposit. I did the expense reports for the managers and executive staff members, monitored their incoming phone lines and emails when they were away. Processed commissions and rebates paid to third party meeting planner companies. Ran daily reports of hotel business and distribute to staff members. Tracked promotional wine sales and competitors prices for Hyatt Corporate. Helped in training and mentored new employees.
Our hotel was the host hotel for the Alamo Bowl staff and colleges each year as well as the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. I worked directly with their staff and coaches in the planning of these events.
