Attention: Kylee Wishart

Clinical Manager

Thank you for taking the time to review my resume Kylee. I am applying to become a dynamic, professional, caring member of your addictions counselling recovery team as an Addiction Therapist.

I have remained clean and sober for over 5 years (May 2015) and work an active program of recovery in my daily life.

I have invaluable lived experience that I am certainly willing to share with others.

As a primary counsellor I am responsible for a caseload of men and women, 1:1 individual client sessions, treatment planning, facilitating all residential group programming a minimum of 2x day, 5x a week, scheduling appointments for clients, running of the treatment center with check in of 20 clients, male & female, grocery shop, nutrition/meal plan, prep and facilitate all daily meals. Delegate responsibilities oversee the completion of daily/weekly chores, driver to and from 12 step meetings and administer any prescribed medications at the appropriate medication times. Responsible for a client case load of up to 9 clients to meet with, support, review, caseload files documented in LightngStep, evaluate clients and support families of the clients.

I am a wonderful and welcoming team member who works incredibly well under the daily pressures of this business.

I maintain a high level of professionalism and calm. I am an extremely fast learner and excellent communicator. I approach every new task with an open mind and am completely teachable. I believe that my approach to the disease of addiction is realistic. My recovery program teaches me that the therapeutic value of one addict to another is without parallel. My therapy model is one of a supportive narrative approach or based on a client to client basis.

I love people and strive to make a positive impact on every person I encounter. I speak for a place of care and concern with a tremendous amount of empathy.

I have turned my desperation to be clean and sober into my passion to help others.

It is my genuine passion today to help other addicts and show them life without substances is possible and beyond their wildest dreams.

Thank you in advance for your time and I look forward to hearing from you in the hopes of setting up an in-person interview.

Sincerely,

Miranda Wickett
