INDUSTRIAL EXPOSURE:

A five week internship program at Electronics & Radar Development Establishment (LRDE), Defence Research Development Organisation(DRDO),Bangalore. LRDE is an Indian Defence laboratory focusing on research and development of RADAR. There I experienced how a RADAR is designed using different tools and software. Testing chambers where the designed RADAR is tested.

MINI PROJECT:

Project Title: Obstacle Detecting Autonomous Micro Robot. Description: In this project we designed a Micro Robot which detects obstacle and change its direction. It even reach to the places where a human cannot. The components are IR Sensor, IC 74LS04, IC ULN2003, IC LM7805, DC Motors, Battery. The IR sensor detects the obstacle this output is send to IC 74LS04 which consists six inverters in which one inverter is used. This is connected to two transistor out of seven transistors designed in ULN2003.Output of ULN20003 is connected to two DC Motors that rotates if any obstacle occur one of the DC motor stop so that it changes its direction due to another motor. Battery of 12v is given as supply to DC motors and LM7805 is voltage regulator. My contribution is to the project is connecting and soldering.

MAIN PROJECT:

Project Title: PAPR Reduction in OFDM System by SLM, PTS with Fire Fly Algorithm Description: In this Project Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM) a large subcarriers are send through a specified bandwidth channel causes has high Peak to Average Power Ratio(PAPR) where the power signal get into nonlinear region so that amplifier get distorted and signal get degraded. In order to PAPR we multiply with phase factors using two techniques. One is Selective Mapping(SLM) where finite phase factors are multiplied each time and verify for best PAPR. It is computationally complex. Another method is Partial Transmit Sequences(PTS) here we select the best phase factors by Fire Fly algorithm which divide the finite phases into sub blocks and get the best phase factor which reduces the PAPR. This is MATLAB software project where my role is to compare and verifying PAPR of SLM and PTS techniques with original OFDM signal by giving different subcarriers ACHIEVEMENTS:
