Present Responsibility Project Scope: As part of the Qatar Petroleum project to expand Qatar’s power distribution network, Voltage Engineering Limited is engaged in the activities of construction of substation buildings, installation of equipment and machineries, commissioning and energising. (Total Project cost is around 136 million QAR). Majors projects handled are GC14103300-EPIC for dukhan township 11KV system Upgrade
Reviewing HSE Management plan for projects in line with Client standards, guidelines
Establish and monitor an emergency rescue/response plan and periodic drills/trainings.
Reviewing all method statements and Risk assessment to ensure that they comply with the HSE Plan requirements
Coordinate with the entire safety officers and execution team and discussing and solving issues through HSE Meetings
Conducting Internal & External HSE Audits in line with OHSAS 18001& ISO 14001 Management system &closely following up with the management on the Implementation of the audit recommendations.
Develop training requirements for Contractors as required by local legislation,KAHRAMA standard and Company Policy & ensure that training system in place and training standards are met
Organising weekly HSE meeting, where safety is an item on the agenda and report on job Safety performance
Implementation of control system for Occupational Health include Noise monitoring,vibration monitoring Waste management,Health and hygiene,health, LUX monitoring,Heat Stress Management.
Implemented minimum requirements and purchasing specifications for personal protective clothing / equipment
Promote safety culture through Voltage staff, Client, Contractors and all stakeholders.
Past Responsibility
Project scopes: Electrical maintenance of Motors in MEPL Power plant, Andhra Pradesh, Electrical maintenance of Breakers and Switchgears in Daya power plant, Kerala.
Provide leadership and technical expertise to company and sub contactors to continuously improve Quality.
Carry out daily site inspection, to see that only safe work methods are in operation and welfare Facilities are adequate and properly maintained
Coaching and promoting workmen by taking regular site Inspection and security patrols ensuring inappropriate practices are being corrected and over inspected
Monitor and ensure compliance of field work force with permit to work system .check observance and enforcement job safety analysis on non-routine high risk activities such as confined space, heavy lift etc.
Monitor and report the recording, analysis of information on injuries, damage and production loss, assess accident trends and review overall safety performances.
Ensure all workforce members are fully aware of all access routes, emergency alarms emergency exits, muster points and emergency evacuation procedure and emergency equipment in place and maintained
Conduct investigation for all unsafe acts and unsafe conditions report to project management for change of plan.
Conduct weekly safety meeting with client/project management team and prepare minutes of meeting.
Preparing and maintaining HSE documents for the project such as JSA, PTW, Method of Statements, Monthly Inspection checklist, HSE Statist reports, and scaffolding register, First aid register etc.
