PROJECT DETAILS:

“Mapping of crop field using autonomous UAV”, - PG Project(under progress) The aim of the project is to map a large area of a field. Firstly, we use a camera incorporate with the UAV which can take a clear image and with the image we can provide real time data information on crop analysis application. These types of UAV are widely applicable in aerial photography. They can provide a real time data but as a field can be huge, the UAV need to fly very high to capture the whole section. Thus sacrifice small detail that can make difference in such fields. So we can fly the drone at lower altitude which can take several images of the whole section with the help of waypoint navigation we can set the grid which can divide a field into specified number of rows and columns for the required location and capture images. We can provide a detailed result. So for mapping the images, we use Agisoft Metashape software to align and combine images into one without any distortion in the image and knowing where we are through the process to provide a mapped area of the field.

“Surveillance of a target using Night Vision Quadcopter”, - UG Project The project describes how an night vision aerial surveillance system can be built using an unmanned aerial vehicle or a drone. We start by delineating the features of our aerial surveillance system and then discuss some of the technologies that we have used in building it. After that we mention how we have incorporated those technologies into a drone and have made them work together harmoniously in order to achieve our desired aerial surveillance system. This system will be a convenient and efficient during the night surveillance. It can be used in peace keeping activities and also real time monitoring of a place at even night time of the day where human beings itself have no capable of sight clearly. The aim is to provide fast and efficient surveillance at an affordable rate so that it can be used widely at private.

“Voice Controlled Air Quality Monitoring System” - Mini Project The objective of this project is to get air quality readings when a voice command is given. The arduino compatible voice recognition module V2 and MQ135 air quality sensor is used in this project. The V2 voice module can store upto 15 voice commands. Those 15 commands are divided into 3 groups. First, the voice commands are trained group by group by the ACCESS PORT software by giving hexadecimal commands. Then the air quality sensor and the voice recognition module is integrated with the arduino microcontroller and programmed. Only one command is trained for this project, i.e., “air quality”. Whenever this command is uttered, it will show up the air quality readings in the serial monitor as well as on the LCD screen connected with the arduino indicating the ppm range of air followed by the LED indication. INPLANT TRAINING:

Trained to work using lidar sensor with drones in UCAL Fuel Systems (Drone Research Facility) located in Chengalpet for a month (Aug. 2019)

Trained to operate with microcontrollers and fabricate frame of drone in Barola technologies in T. Nagar for 6 weeks. ( Jan 2019 - Feb 2019) ACADEMIC PROGRESS:
