PERSONAL STATEMENT
Ex-Panasonic AVC networks Kuala Lumpur design engineer, mainly responsible for designing metal parts for TV. I am currently in search of a better working and learning opportunity, thriving for deeper knowledge in the R&D industry. Proficient in 3D-printing as I personally own a Sidewinder X-1 3D printer and Creality Ender 5-plus, working on it during my free time. Proficient in English, Mandarin as well as Malay. CAREER SUMMARY
Responsible for designing aluminum parts and assembly jigs of TV panel, experienced in extrusion, pressing and bending process.
Work with SolidWorks on a daily basis (2D/3D), including design, modification, revision etc. Familiar with GD&T, was responsible for parts such as aluminum frame, heatsink, metal clip etc.
Carry out cost down study, was planning to proceed a RM1 million heat sink cost down project before the department was retrenched.
Communicate and cooperate with supplier to study overall DFM of parts, including manufacturing process, poka-yoke design, cost, limitation, schedule, material etc.
Hands on assembling TV parts to study the ease of assembling TV panel. Study and improve on design to reduce tact time, total number of parts, human resource needed etc. to prepare for mass production.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems, such as light leakage etc. finding the root cause and solution to various problems by trial and error as well as logical thinking. Solved a serious light leakage issue on bottom side of TV panel found in trial mass production line.
Documentation of modifications and alterations on parts, ensuring the history to be recorded in case of future study.
Currently working on additive manufacturing (3D printing), collaborating with IMU university to design and print hundreds of face shields for St. John’s, hospitals, NGO etc. Also working on other gadgets such as mask tie/holder at the moment. ACHIEVEMENTS
