To Whom it May Concern:

I am writing to express my interest in obtaining a part time or PRN position as a family nurse practitioner with your practice. I have learned about your practice online and am very interested in working here at this facility.

I recently obtained my FNP license through AANP on June 27, 2019 and my state license on August 1, 2019. I have been working at Prescott Family Practice and Wellness in Prescott, AZ since November 2019. I currently work here 21 hours a week and see approximately 50 patients a week independently. I serve as their primary care provider.

I graduated with my post master’s family nurse practitioner certificate from Northern Arizona University in May of 2019. During this program, I completed 780 clinical hours with various preceptors in Prescott, AZ and Cottonwood, AZ. My rotations were in a primary care setting and a pediatric primary care setting. During this experience, I gained valuable knowledge on how to practice as a primary care provider.

I have been a Registered Nurse since February 2010 and have worked in various positions both in acute and long-term care settings. I have worked at the local hospital here in town on the medical/surgical floors and in the cardiac catheterization lab. I have also worked in outpatient surgical care settings, long-term care/rehabilitation centers, and outpatient clinics at the Veteran’s hospital. I recently worked as a clinical nurse educator at Yavapai College teaching in an associate degree program. In this role, I taught nursing students their fundamental skills in nursing and had several clinical groups in a long-term care setting as well.

I would really like an opportunity to meet with you to discuss any part time positions you may have available. Please let me know if you have any questions about my nursing experiences. You can reach me by phone at 928-***-**** or by email at **************@*****.***.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Sarah Claussen, FNP-C
