Geotechnical Engineer:

Analyzed the geohazards along the pipeline ROW, reviewed the vendor’s documents, drawings on 30%, 60% and 90% completion, observed the field conditions for minimum cover over the pipelines and recommended, directed and followed up the geotechnical matters including on Acid Rock Drainage (ARD).

Conducted a detail plan of boreholes, drilling and piezo installation for a subsurface geotechnical investigation for site characterization. Submitted a geotechnical report with recommendations of either suitable for synthetic or natural in-situ clay liner depending on site characteristics.

Front End Study about suitability of the existing borrow pits upgrades including analysis of different options available for the existing site conditions and recommended the best option and the relevant requirements for the given option.

Conducted analysis for Erosion and Sedimentation Control (ESC), recommended plan and measures to be taken for the given site(s) conditions, required monitoring and maintenance for the effective control measures based on the Best Management Practice (BMP).

Developed and approved details IFC drawings for lined ponds, access roads, pipe culverts, Earthworks and Liner Installation Specifications after client’s approval.

QA Engineer: Lined Fluid Storage Facility for earthworks and liner installation

Derived the specification for synthetic liner installation for 70 hectares of liquid reservoir at Albian Sands Mine Site, approved/disapproved subgrade for liner installation, checked and approved the destructive and non-destructive tests/retests on welds, spark testing and signed off the completed job for the client. Monitored the leaks through the leak detection system, which complied with Alberta Energy Regulator’s requirements.

Submitted a final QA report to client with recommendation of maintenance requirements.
