PROJECTS

Smart Thermostat for space cooling

Project objective: Energy cost reduction and temperature lag effect elimination

Implemented WIFI microcontroller and several sensors to measure temperature, light intensity and number of occupants in the room

Developed a prototype C/Arduino program that calculated the predicted temperature to activate the compressor and ventilation fan for different time periods based on processed data

Grain drier fan assembly

Project objective: Design and manufacture a safe and efficient grain drier fan assembly

Applied the principles of aerodynamics in the design of the blades to increase the efficiency of the fan assembly

Used SolidWorks and Finite element analysis to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the design

Tested different mold designs by implementing MagmaSoft 5 casting simulation software to ensure the optimal outcome

Casted and post machined the fan blades using a A380 Aluminum alloy Formula SAE Car Rear Wing

Project objective: Design a formula SAE’s car rear wing for optimum performance

Conducted design/simulation iterations for the car’s rear wing using SolidWorks and OpenFoam

Optimized design to achieve high lift coefficient of -3 while cornering to ensure car’s stability and minimum drag coefficient to achieve higher speed EDUCATION
