EXPERIENCE
Software Development Experience (Courses, Projects, Research) Ryerson University - Toronto, ON September 2011 - present
● Wrote, tested and implemented codes using C programming language to turn on LEDS, timers, and convert analog signals to digital bits.
● Utilize functions, classes and initiated variables on C++ to develop patient queue, analyze gene sequences and develop a rock, paper and scissors game.
● Utilized python to predict and classify stress using machine learning algorithms, developed algorithms to sequence DNA and RNA genes.
● Utilized HTML and CSS to style web apps.
● Developed Digital System algorithms using VHDL and specific functions.
● Utilized simulink to design control systems and matlab to analyze and visualize results.
● Utilized SQL to extract data from specific categories, applied mathematical transformation on results to obtain desired results.
● Utilized monte carlo to analyze the effect of radiation.
● Utilized C programming language to develop a biofeedback algorithm which can assess the trunk muscle and utilize an accelerometer and LEDS programmed through arduino to indicate the motion of the trunk muscle.
● Utilized python to implement pipelines which extracted specific features, normalized data, applied hyperparameters in order to classify and predict stress more accurately.
Research Assistant/Data Analyst
Ryerson University - Toronto, ON April 2018- present
● Interpreted, analyzed and recorded data from a VR video game (data was recorded from physiological sensors and sent to cloud via bluetooth).
● Researched the various pathologies associated with low HRV. ECG signals were processed to detect R-R peaks which can be used to assess HRV through time, non-linear and frequency domain analysis.
● Utilized Matlab, python to assess ECG data.
● Applied Feature Engineering, Feature Reduction to normalize data and prevent overfitting.
● ML algorithms such as DT, SVM, NB, KNN, LDA, LR were used to predict and classify labels using HRV features.
● Deep learning with tensor flow, keras and theano packages were used to classify/predict 5 levels of stress.
● Developed a machine learning algorithm to classify/predict stress. Performed Image and NLP classification using Deep Learning algorithms.
● IEEE conference paper called Stress Classification from VR simulations was accepted for publication.
