Manage the planning and procurement of raw material (4140 HR and forging), machined shafts, copper rings and bars, brazing material, fasteners, insulation materials, lead wire, magnet wire, resin and varnishes, sleeving/tubing, slot sticks and fabricated parts which include welded and laser cut parts.

Handle outside services which include, stress relieving, chrome plating, mag particle and UT testing, milling, turning and grinding of shafts, and stator winding.

During my time here I used my Computer Aided Design (CAD) software knowledge to design jigs, fixtures and quality verification for multiple operations which included: lathing, hobing, debur/chamfering, shaping, broaching, shaving, and milling.

Along with designing, I also was involved in writing and implementing CNC programs for cutting and loading of automatic transmission gears into Muratec lathes using Fanuc controls. CIMCO Edit 5 software was used in the writing of these programs.
