I, Apollo Rey B. Over 25 years of rich experience in design, installation and supervision of mechanical systems in health care, building and infrastructure services with working knowledge of various building services design codes such as British Standards, ASHRAE, BSRIA, AIA, HTM, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC, IMC, IBC,UPC, CIBSE other International design codes and standards, and local codes such QCS, KHARAMAA, QCDD, ASHGHAL, MOI with: Extensive knowledge of construction and design process of Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning

(HVAC), Smoke Extraction, Car park ventilation, Staircase pressurization, Chilled Water System (plants

& pumps), District Cooling System, Cleanroom System as well as Building Management Systems(BMS). 2

Extensive knowledge of construction and design process of fire protection systems, utility piping, plumbing and drainage systems.

Thorough knowledge of project design, execution coordination, testing and commissioning procedures, equipment selection and engineering calculation for duct and piping design, building cooling load, Duct ESP, pump head etc.

Knowledge of sustainable design and associated guidelines such as LEED. Comprehensive knowledge of developing test procedures, method statements, shop drawings, schematic diagrams, and design specifications.

Job Tasks and Functions

• Plan, monitor and manage execution of MEP works in assigned area to ensure on time – in budget – high quality completion

• Review specifications to determine appropriate construction methods, alternative analysis and implementation plans.

• Direct the Supervision Consultant to monitor compliance with building specifications, safety codes and other regulations.

• Oversee the Supervision Consultant to conduct routine inspections and quality check on all site works and provide appropriate feedback to concerned contractor.

• Ensure actions taken by the contractors to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at the construction site which include overall risk management actions.

• Confer with contractors and consultants to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.

• Assist in managing scope, schedule and budget changes as necessitated by the change control system.

• Ensure appropriate usage and application of the Project Management System (PMS) with respect to entry and analysis of work-related data for day to day functioning to facilitate seamless communication of all relevant (technical/non-technical) information across the Project Team on a real time basis for maximum effectiveness.

• Review and Monitor timely reporting of project progress. Ensure achievement of time, quality, cost and HSE goals on project.

• Ensure timely preparation of various progress and cost tracking reports.

• Monitor and analyze reports on scope, quality, cost, and time to determine if the project is on track.

• Drive and manage internal and external relationships for effective and efficient achievement of project goals.

• Coordinate with design, QA/QC, HSE and procurement teams on construction and progress aspects for assigned area.

• Liaise with project parties and client for critical decisions as required.

• Provide appropriate inputs to all suppliers and subcontractor in related to civil construction and engineering at assigned project site.

Project : Construction of Additional Facilities for CCQ – Boys and Girls, PWA - Doha, Qatar A design review and build contract for in which ERGA-Qatar is the project supervision consultant for MEP, Civil, Structural and Architectural services. MEP services include HVAC, Fire Protection Systems, Plumbing/Sanitary Systems, Drainage System, Irrigation System, and Electrical works such as MV & LV System, Fire Alarm System, Lighting System, UPS/Battery System, Security and CCATV System, Public Address, Lighting System, Lightning, Cathodic and Grounding Protection System, etc.

Work as Mechanical Engineer cum Inspector conducting all inspections for all MEP works/ systems as per the project requirements and specifications to the client’s satisfaction.

Review & check IFC/ shop drawings and as-built drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, ITPs to ensure that all aspects of the project are compliant to all relevant standards, specification and other project requirements.

Participate and attend project design works, site coordination meetings to address all technical issues, concerns about the proposed project. Ensure that all MEP systems are well-coordinated with other services to prevent clashes and conflict with other services.

Assists in defining the process for execution of management and supervision activities related to all aforementioned types of all MEP systems; and to identify the need for specialty assistance.

Review and check contractors progress billing, claims and variation works for the project for Manager's final approval.

Prepare daily and monthly project reports detailing all aspects of MEP, civil, structural, architectural status of works and also highlighting critical areas of the project that needs enhancement or improvements.

Issue NCRs/NCNs for any non-conformance to specs, design drawings, IFCs and other related project references.

Understands all related codes and their application to the project; and helps oversee/manage the interface with local agencies and authorities.

Witnessing and conducting testing and commissioning inspection for all MEP systems.

Conducting snagging and de-snagging works for all MEP completed works prior to final hand-over to the client.

Attending with contractor and FLS specialists the QCCD inspection for the FLS systems for approval prior to the building/structure permanent occupancy.
