Job/ Volunteer History
Orangetheory Fitness (518 Greenville Blvd. SE Suite D, Greenville, NC 27858)- Sales Associate- February 2019 to March 2020
Position in sales that focused on selling heart rate monitors and workout memberships, forming bonds with the clients who came into Orangetheory, and making the environment upbeat and comfortable for everyone that entered the studio. Consistently had the highest closing percentage for new joining members and highest revenue brought in as a part time employee. In addition, the Instagram account was run by me and coworkers to keep clients up to date on promotions, important workouts, and benchmarks achieved by members. This job provided me with professional growth and taught me how to direct sales and overcome barriers with clients to guide them towards a sale. My time spent here provided me with a wide set of strengths including knowledge and experience of sales and marketing strategies, social media usage for promotions, lead generation programs, and how to connect with clients to promote sales and the confidence of our new joining members.
Simply Natural Creamery (317 Arlington Boulevard Greenville, NC 27858)- Ice Cream Server- August 2018 to April 2019.
This job was largely centered around the importance of good customer service. From the moment a customer entered the store to the moment they left, it was my job to make sure they received a warm welcome and felt excited about their next trip to the creamery. Tasked to keep the store clean and well stocked, switched out merchandise when needed, and scooped and served ice cream.
Pivot Physical Therapy-outpatient- (1580 Armory Dr, Franklin, VA 23851)- volunteer- December 2018
Volunteer position in an environment that allowed me valuable observational experience following 3 different physical therapists and 2 physical therapist assistants. Worked with patients by guiding exercise plans created by the therapists, administered hot and cold packs, and set up and used ESTIM on patients. This opportunity allowed me to witness several different injuries and the method of therapy best for each case. This taught me the importance of total body awareness for diagnosing the source of a pain, establishing a bond with the patient to allow them to feel relief in an uncomfortable situation, and the importance of organization within a therapists day to day to keep up with mounds of paperwork.
The Village at Woods Edge (1401 N High Street Franklin, VA 23851)- Waitstaff- March 2015 to August 2018.
This setting was a retirement community including an independent living, assisted living, memory care unit, and an outside restaurant that served the public. Worked within the dining rooms of each facility, often as active manager responsible for ensuring we were properly staffed, stocked for each night, meal templates were made, and each resident was accounted for each evening. Other responsibilities included calling bingo, conducting exercises, and helping with puzzles and readings when necessary. This job taught me the importance of good customer service, how to sell nearly anything, and a good work ethic. Often was asked to work extra hours (40+ hours a week) and was always more than happy to help.
Southampton Academy Cheer Camp Coach (26495 Old Plank Road, Courtland, VA)- Coach- May 2017 to August 2017.
Instructed girls ages 6 to 12 on basics of cheerleading including proper form and technique for beginner stunting, tumbling, and hand motions during cheers. Created an upbeat and fun environment to get the girls out of their comfort zones and enjoy learning new skills with their new friends. Was directly in charge of the tumbling aspect of the camp as the most senior tumbler amongst the coaches and ensured the young girls safely attempted tumbling skills with my help spotting and guiding them on proper form.
