Work with TAS partners to drive sales and test new innovative marketing, distribution and financing strategies.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT RELATED EXPERIENCE

FAWE Solar lantern project Kigali, Rwanda

It is a school led Project that consisted of designing and manufacturing of the solar lanterns that can replace oil lamps in the Rural communities of Rwanda. I’m the leading educator of the Solar lantern project and I was trained in the Universities Massachusetts state ( May 2014) and New Hampshire state ( August 2015), USA. I presented the project to the members of Rotary club of Gloucester, MA, USA in 2015. I also initiated a partnership with MPOWERD Inc, that donated 200 solar lanterns to the project in 2016 that are yet to be delivered to the Rwandan communities using the microfinance model. Rwandan schools’ orchid project Kigali, Rwanda

Project consists of conservation of the endangered endermic orchid species of the Nyungwe forests in Rwanda. It is a joint research project of FAWE and Writhlington research team from the UK. I’m the leading teacher of the project at FAWE school. I was involved in setting up an orchid propagation laboratory using a nutrient agar jelly in sterile environment and coordinating the orchid propagation project in Rwanda. I was trained in the UK about setting up orchid propagation laboratory, sowing orchid seeds in sterile air provided with in the laminar flow hood on a sterile nutrient agar medium which supplies the seeds with nutrients and vitro techniques methods and also presented and exhibited the project research work in the European orchid show in London, England, UK in April,2015. Name of assignment: consultancy services to investigate the requirements for repair/replacement of a passenger lift at Bank of Uganda plot 45, Kampala Year: October 2016

Main project features: this assignment required making an assessment on the passenger lift at for the Building at Plot 45. The lifts were not useable at the time of making the assessment. The purpose of the inspection was to assess the need to repair or replace the existing lift, advise the Bank on the way forward, and prepare specifications including costs involved.

Positions held: Mechanical engineer, Technology Consults Activities performed: Was involved in carrying out the assessment looking at the various equipment within the machine room, the driving motors, the over speed governor, the landing doors, the door controls and the lift car, then making also assessments on the suspension ropes, the counter weights and the rails, carry out a desk research on the various lifts and the different standards required in such a business together with coming up with a report as required by the client. Activities performed: was involved in meeting the Engineers and technicians, collected boiler maintenance history documents and visiting the boilers in Mbarara and Kampala to help in reconstruction of the failure of the boilers, then wrote the report.
