Minor papers: Immunology, biochemistry, developmental biology, evolution and nomenclature, ecology, animal behavior, biostatistics Training: animal handling, tissue harvesting, histopathology and staining, data handling, statistical analysis, basic computation.
M.Sc. thesis project: I completed my master’s degree in the field of zoology (specialization area: fisheries). During this, I studied on sustainable utilization of fish waste or byproducts. My aim was to understand whether these byproducts could be used in heavy metal remediation and have any other putative usefulness. I was also trained in aquatic resource management and associated data handling. The dissertation paper was titled and presented in the university as “Utilization of Fish Byproducts and classical Waste Materials” (under the guidance of Dr. Pratap Mukherjee and Dr. Trijit Nanda, associate professor, Vidyasagar University, India).

Academic projects: During my B.Sc., I was trained for handling different model animals
(including rats and mice, fishes, and nonchordates). I have received basic training in histopathology, staining and data analysis. In addition, my field study during this period was aimed to understand the biodiversity in tropical mangroves, namely the Sundarbans (one of the largest mangroves worldwide). My project was entitled as “Biodiversity of Flora and Fauna in Mangrove ecosystems” and presented to Calcutta University under the supervision of Dr. Chandana Naskar and Dr. Manas Mukherjee, associate professor, Calcutta University, India.
