Relevant Work History
Lymo Construction (Project Engineer/Coordinator) June-2019 - March-2020
I responsibly and skillfully organized the BIM department and monitor the progress of clients & team members. In a timely manner, I updated team members with clients' status updates. While creating the Lymo Revit BIM template, I deftly designed a high level and low level flexible and sustainable business model for the department. Expertly training and developing employee's skills within Revit lowered anxieties to the transition. I also solved complex problems with unfolding technology- focused around BIM.
Spotlight Achievements:
Situation: 736 Million Dollar Logan Airport Boston Expansion Project
Action: The expansion project was the largest project the organization had ever taken on. Excitement and nervousness flowed through the organization. The requirement is BIM! Which is one of my strengths In the architectural, construction, and manufacturing fields. Without a doubt, in my mind, I was going to review, document problem areas, and Communicate with the team on an ongoing basis.
Results: The proven tactics that I employed throughout the process were adequate, efficient, and victorious. As the COVID-19 virus made its debut on the world stage, we were prepared to make the mad dash to the finish line before the country shut down. This gave us the ability to confirm the material needed to complete the project and coordinate with the supplier of the article and all involved parties.
Situation: Organizing the BIM department
Action: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, Closing. Tasked with initiating the transfer of the company from previous operations into present-day BIM processes. The plan was simple 1st represent the organization's product like they always have, then rebuild the foundation Of the architectural and engineering departments. At the start of the executing phase, coworkers were involved in in-depth discussions about how they accomplish their work. With a detailed eye though-out the monitoring and controlling process, I built a company-wide template.
Results: The organization can now offer a service that very few companies adopted. Not only has the scope of the portfolio increased, efficiency as well.
Relevant Work History
Ipswich Bay Glass (Revit Design Engineer) July-2018 - May-2019
I was tasked with maintaining a typical deadline as I created working drawings for the A.C.M & Curtain Wall departments, with the added twist of expanding the BIM business development. Typically whenever I expand a BIM department into low-level flexibility and sustainable content, I would create a prototyping phase before going into the execution phase. But with the limited time frames, I reached into my vast experience from the years. I fast-tracked the creation of sustainable content while delivering a set of documents to secure contracts on the projects within my assignment list. The key to my success lies in a keen eye as I review the documents from the architect and contractor's and solve the problems presented within the documents from the suppliers, which always delivers coherent coordination among all stakeholders and parties involved. Spotlight Achievements:
Situation: 1785 Columbus Ave Composite Wall
Action: Embarc Studio required an unusual face fastened paneling system, while at the same time alternating the color pattern to create a unique building for sure. I was to create a building information model that could calculate square footage of each color, extrusions needed to fasten the panel to the structure, and the easiest of all the amount of fasteners required.
Results: The building information model gave the project manager, estimator, and procurement a stable foundation to backcheck their estimates and plans. This resulted in lowering anxieties among the staff; regarding the cost of the project. Plus, answered the question, are we ordering enough or too little of the product required to complete the project.
Situation: 400/500 Discovery Park Corrugated Panel
Action: Stantec Architecture Design A unique two building design with a third levitated between. On this project, I was tasked with creating a building information model focused on the corrugated panels located on the roof, also known as a penthouse. Once again, My biggest challenge was building custom content that helps aid in the material take-off process.
Results: Once the drawings were set and done, the material populated to a spreadsheet, and was sent to fabrication company to follow for cut links. Giving procurement the material take-off, they needed to start with fast-tracking the project once again.
Subcontract Revit Consultant (Revit Specialist/ Structural Drafter) May-2017 - 2018
I skillfully created working drawing for overall floor framing plan, overall bracing plan, individual unit framing plan, & individual wall framing plans. While diligently reviewing & coordinate with engineers, architects, and team members to solve problem areas within the building design. I also trained and developed employee's skills within Revit. Spotlight Achievements:
Situation: Wakefield Beasley & Associates $100 Million Eat, Live, Play Facility
Action: As a subcontractor to a structural engineering firm, I was tasked with creating a full set of structural documents. While maintaining the fast pace changes requested by the client.
Results: I was able to catch thousands of mistakes over the course of six-plus months. That included wall alignment issues, foundation issues, etc. Throughout the process, the client received somewhere around 30 plus variations of their facility.

Software technology has surged forward from the humble beginnings of AutoCAD, which has brought many businesses to a crossroads of confusion. With the dormant education, I possess I strategically review old business strategies to adapt them to the new software technologies within Revit and Inventor. Working alongside outstanding management

With the knowledge of Revit and Inventor, I was able to reproduce discontinued parts from outside vendors, transfer AutoCAD legacy parts into Inventor, and establish 3D models for use within the price book and multimedia such as print and web postings. Not to forget the need of the structural engineers for a skilled 3D simulator to build a variety of Kawneer products for a structural analyst within Inventor.
Spotlight Achievements:
Situation: Organize Revit Content Standards & Training Guide
Action: I was tasked with creating an elegant and practical training manual for implementing the Kawneer curtain wall system. With two goals in mind, the first one to make it simple for our clients to implement our system into their designs and second to simplify the maintenance involved within the curtain wall system for Revit.
Results: When an architect or GC imports the Kawneer curtain wall system, they interact with consistent representation of the company's product. This also allows the company to be suspect regularly on a variety of buildings.

Spotlight Achievements:
Situation: Hundred Thousand Dollars Kitchen Upgrade
Action: I walked into a multimillion-dollar home and thought to myself, how bad can this kitchen be? Then the apparent corners that were cut by the builder were visible by a dated 1970s below vintage presentation. So it was obvious a Ferncliff Estate Designer Kitchen, is the art for them to live in and enrich their lives.
Results: A glowing and thrilling piece of art have been masterfully executed. Now the kitchen is truly a piece of art that you live within. Subcontract Inventor Consultant (Automation Engineer) June-2014 - July- 2015
I was presented with a rare and unique opportunity. That forced me to balance two positions at the same time. Working alongside the business owner of a cozy side automation business, I would receive hand sketches with rough dimensions, and ideas of machinery to simulate within inventor.
Spotlight Achievements:
Situation: Medical Bottling Conveyor

I effectively interpreted Commercial Blueprints and reproduced designs that cater to our industry from legal documents with Miller-Clapperton standards. Spotlight Achievements:

Results: Not only was a beautiful building executed promptly, but a living memory of integrity was instilled upon me by David Clapperton. It brought remorse, sorrow, and tears to me when I learned of his passing. David Clapperton was the best mentor I could've ever learned from, rest in peace.

Reason For Leaving:
Time to investigate why Nick has left previous positions. Below you will find a list of situations to ask yourself would you accept working conditions that hinder your life. Ask yourself yes or no, I accept that condition. Review below: 1. A global pandemic puts the world into a state of chaos and the company you are working for lays off 100+ employees, and you were included. 2. Tardy policy if you get to your desk at 7:30 a.m. you are fired if you get to your desk at 7:29 a.m. you have a job for one more day. 3. The company's operations manager is a pervert and follows people into the bathroom to unlock the bathroom door to watch them as they go to the bathroom.
4. The owners and the management of the company always want you to be fearful and scared of them.
5. Your coworkers know you as the go-to person, except for one coworker with a good reputation with the owner of the company who steals all your work—at the same time, receiving promotions and bonuses that belong to you.
6. During the interview process, you were told that the company was an expert at providing a particular service that existed within your skillset. Then you accept the position to find out they lie to you and have never developed any procedures encompassing that skill. You are tasked to develop their business and internal processing procedures. Then not given the recognition of your accomplishment or any financial compensation. 7. You are brought in as a contractor to transfer a company into the new software. There is a long-standing coworker that has been with the company since the beginning. But they do not want the latest software. So, you are verbally and physically assaulted every day by a hostile, toxic employee. That the company refuses to fire and is indeed the reason why they are being dragged down.
8. You are tasked with the project managers, project coordinator, department manager responsibilities. But you are expected to do the work officially under your career title. You are doing the work of four people and are compensated for one position that is 50% to 100% less than management. 9. The grounded employees enjoy your company and recognize your knowledge and believe you should be the leader in charge. But you cannot be in charge because the position is not open.
10. Due to an economic recession, you do not receive the proper amount of work to pay your essential bills and cannot put food on the table. 11. You are working on $10 million-$300 million projects, and you cannot afford to pay your power bill. So, you live for six months the majority of that during winter without electricity or heat.
12. You are working for a fantastic company, and a recruiter contacts you for an opening that pays more money than the position you are currently holding. Business politics at the current company you are working for will not allow for a salary increase.
13. You are expected to work an additional 30 to 40 hours a week uncompensated for your time.
Suppose you find the above unacceptable reasons for leaving a position. Then do not hire me. I have had a colorful and challenging life that I can take responsibility that I did some of it to myself. But for the majority, it was out of my hands or executed by others with less than honorable intentions. The above is all that I am going to say, and I will not answer any inquiries into which companies the situations came to life.
