In this part-time position I provided Simulation experiences to students in the Associate of Science in Nursing Program. I performed needs assessments, constructed measurable outcomes, designed a scenario or case to provide the context for the simulation, and used various types of fidelity to create the required perception of realism. I conducted prebriefings, facilitated the simulation, conducted a debriefing following the simulation experience and evaluated the simulation experience of the participants in terms of meeting the identified objectives and outcomes.

In this Independent Contract position, I conducted psychiatric diagnostic evaluations based on DSM criteria, prescribed appropriate psychotropic medications and recommended non-pharmacological treatment modalities including psychotherapy to adults effected by mental illness in an outpatient setting. I provided consultation and mental health services to airline personnel following aviation accidents. Service rendered included critical incident stress debriefing, defusing, teaching the Basic Group Critical Incident Response Class, Peer Support Class and Listening Skills Class. Airlines served include: Air New Zealand, Alaska, Hawaiian, American, American Eagle, Delta, Comair, Fed-Ex, Southwest, US Airways, United, Frontier and Northwest Airlines. Contracted Mental Health Professional by the Airline Pilots Association (ALPA) and worked with the accident investigation team following airline accidents/incidents/disasters.
